It's Tuesday - hop day! But really, what day isn't a hop day these days? This Tuesday, I'm the guest host (co-host?) of Cindy's Busy Mom's Tips Tuesday Blog Hop - so make sure to link up and hop along!

Walt Disney World has several attractions that the toddlers can't do - the mountains, Soarin', and several others have height limits just out of reach from most toddlers. The one attraction that was close - Goofy's Barnstormer, closed with Toontown for the Fantasyland Expansion. Noah was still too short, but he would have made it for our upcoming January trip.
One that has a listed height requirement - the Tomorrowland Speedway - has a 32" height requirement listed online, but not at the park. Autopia, the original 1955 counterpart at Disneyland has the same 32" requirement listed as well, and maybe in California they check, but at WDW, the rule is crossed out and there isn't a board to check! To ride alone, a child must be 54", but an 18 month definitely can't ride alone!
Knowing Noah's fascination with cars, we knew he would enjoy the Speedway. We were told that he had to have his own seat so I would ride alone or just watch. Guess which I chose?
Adam and Noah driving away |
One of the cutest parts of the Tomorrowland Speedway, though lost on an 18 month old - a "drivers license." Similar to the future fastpass Noah received in January, the Cast Member loading the cars handed Noah his very own "license." And, unfortunately, I can't find it to take a picture! But a definite treasure to go in the scrapbook... eventually!
And, when they come back, it's impossible to see such a little guy behind the wheel, but I know that he had a great time driving a car for the first time!
It's amazing to see what attractions take new light with a youngster!
Thanks for stopping by,
~Jenn
Aww... I wish we'd taken Bubby on this. I'm sure he'd have loved it!
ReplyDeleteWe didn't try at 13 months.. I'm not sure what they would have done! Glad he enjoyed his trip!!
ReplyDeleteYour pics are so much fun! We took our little guy to Disneyland for his first birthday, and he did not get to ride Autopia due to the height limit. But, he got to ride lots of other rides and it was a blast. Congrats on the blog hop feature. New follower.

Awww! How sweet! Sounds like a lot of fun! My husband and I recently went to Disney, but we went without the kids (I know -- GASP!!) He felt that the kids were too young to understand anyway and it just wouldn't be as much fun with them along. So we went as a couple, and Iook forward to when our youngest is five (the arbitrary age at which my hubby has decided it's acceptable to take kids to Disney! LOL)
ReplyDeleteI'm following from the hop! You have an adorable blog! Happy to meet you!
Smiles, Jenn
