Did You Know?

Ever see a Disney bus that is around that is labeled "Rapunzel" and wondered where it was going?

It's not!  Rapunzel is Disney code for "out of service."

I knew from a previous cast member that back in the early 2000's, a bus named "Belle" meant out of service, so when I saw this last January, I realized they'd changed the names.

Clever, don't you think?

  3. While I've never seen anyone ask, I'm sure the drivers don't mind. But as I see it, it's just continuing the magic. Just as employees are "cast members" it's all part of a show, so naming the buses this way adds to the magic!

  4. I think most guests would rather see not in service or out of service. I know what it means but just about every time people are asking what is that bus or where does that bus go. You just about always see someone go to the driver and ask.

  5. Very cool post!! I love little tidbits like that! Also, the if you ever see VIP Cast Member buses, those take cast members from the parking lot to their work location.

  6. I like believing it's Rapunzel's personal bus from going park to park. Sort of her rock and roll tour bus. But that's just me. : )
