Community Service Recruitment Center
Bob Matheison
Quality, Integrity, and Dedication
Disney Legend, Bob Matheison started his Disneyland Journey in 1960 as a sound coordinator. He started recording music and even teaching the Jungle Cruise captains how to speak into their microphones. He then became the manager of Guest Relations and eventually helped produce live radio and television broadcasts from Disneyland.
He worked on several attractions including Small World, Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, and the World's Fair's version of the Carousel of Progress. In 1969, he became the director of operations at Disneyland and the following year became the same in Florida. By the end of his career, he was the executive vice president of Parks, WDW.
Talk about a career!
Hmm. Recuitment Center makes me think there is another #disney story there. Wonder if he had a large following of folks that moved jobs with him?
