Brother Dave
He Chased a Bear into a Cave

Brother Dave - Dave Burkhart - starting working for WDI (Walt Disney Imagineering) in 1967 as an artist/model-maker.  He helped in the building of architecture and models, including full scale props and sets.  He worked on attractions including The Haunted Mansion, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, and the Swiss Family Tree House.  He also worked on the Tokyo Disneyland Project before he left Disney to become Creative Director for Universal Studios to work on their Japan project.

  1. Love reading your trivia about the imagineers whose names are used on the tombstones! Before I started reading your posts I had no idea that the names on the tomstones were odes to real people - thanks for the info!

    Yes, these tombstones are making me jealous of all these creative people and their amazing jobs!
