Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

Today is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day - a day to celebrate a man who helped change this country - a powerful civil rights leader and an amazing human being.  In this same day, we're also ushering in the 2nd term of President Barack Obama.  I don't want to have a political discussion, but celebrating the 2nd term of a Black President on the same day we celebrate MLK is a great coincidence.

Now, where is the Disney connection?

Did you know:
The Walt Disney Company Foundation, along with several other big donors, substantially contributed to the creation of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial in Washington, D.C. and opening in 2011.

I sure didn't know that!!

Martin Luther King, Jr. died in April of 1968, only 1.5 years after Walt Disney.  I wonder what they could have created together..
