Tiggerific Tuesday Trivia

Welcome back for another week of trivia with my friends at Magical Mouse Schoolhouse, My Dreams of Disney, and Heidi's Head!

Thanks to Melissa from Disney on Wheels for this great pic!

Did you know:
When the Polynesian and Contemporary resorts were built in 1971, they built them using "unitized modular construction."  Essentially, they built the frames of the buildings and made the rooms in a separate place.  Once the rooms were completely finished, they were slid into place!

For more and construction pictures, check out this post from the Disney Parks Blog!

  3. Amazing construction on both! I knew about the Contemporary but had no idea they built the Poly in units as well. Thanks for the interesting trivia!
