Yummi Pouch - Reusable Food Pouches

For years, we've been fans of squeezable foods for our kids.  Have foods in these pouches is not only less messy, but it is one less thing to bring one the road - no need to top and pull out a spoon.  We can simply unscrew the lid, hand the child a pouch (as young as maybe 9 months old), and they can feed themselves a variety of foods with nearly no cleanup.

But - these premade foods, like most baby and convenience foods, come at a high cost.  For the pouches we often bought, we would spend nearly $1.00 each.  For a baby that is eating 3 "baby foods" a day, this could add up quickly.

Luckily, Yummi Pouch has a solution:

Reusable Food Pouches

I jumped on the opportunity to review these pouches.  I had seen them advertised a few times, but hadn't read any personal accounts of the product.

When I received my set of 6, I was impressed with the size and couldn't wait to make one of our favorites - green smoothies - to feed the little ones.  While the big guy can use a straw, he tends to make a huge mess and the little one isn't very good with a straw yet, so we end up making a huge mess trying to feed him!

But, now with Yummi Pouches, we are set!  They have a simple "zip" to open, fill, and seal and then, on the side is the straw with a cap for the kids to eat from.

They are perfect for:

  • Smoothies
  • Yogurt
  • Applesauce
  • Baby Purees

So simple a baby can use it!

They have lines to label, date, and how far to fill (please note the fill line before filling! Don't make our mistakes!)

Yummi Pouches are a huge success in my house - I wish we had found them several months ago!

**Yummi Pouch provided me with a set of pouches to try out for this review.  All thoughts and opinions are honest and my own.**

  1. Sounds like they would be great park gear.

  2. Definitely! Maybe better for home b/c the cleaning can be a pain, but with a dishwasher, say at a villa or condo off prop, they would be perfect!
