Inside the Wilderness Lodge, at the entrance to the Mercantile (their gift shop), is this fantastic totem pole - featuring Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and Humphrey the Bear.
Did you know:
Never heard of Humphrey? I sure hadn't! He's from a Walt Disney Studios cartoon character who first appeared in 1950! According to wiki, these shorts are more wild than the standard cutesy Disney gags - now I have to see!
You may notice in the opening credits that this was created by Jack Hannas.... think that maybe he borrowed that inspiration when he co-created his own studio (Hannah-Barbera) when Yogi Bear came out in 1958? Yeah, that's a common thought!
