Disneyland 1st Visit

It looks like it's going to happen:

I am finally going to the West Coast to visit the Disneyland Resort (DLR)!!

As an East Coaster, Floridian, and life long Walt Disney World fan, and haven't spent much time in California.

But - as a travel agent, I've learned even more about the parks and resorts.  I have read about the 3 Disneyland resorts "on property" and the many Good Neighbor hotels - but I haven't had a chance to see them.

The sad part is - I won't be taking my boys and I'll only be there for 2 days, but it's still a trip to a new-to-me place and I'm excited to share my experiences with you!

What are your #1 recommendations for a first timer at the Disneyland Resort?  Do you have a favorite restaurant or hotel?

  1. I have used a Good Neighbour Hotel twice, Best Western Anaheim - right across the street. It was a bland room but clean and quiet.
Be sure to ride Indiana Jones and Space Mountain. Space is SO SO much better at DLR. I really like the Bugs Land area in CA. New Orleans Square is beautiful. Go on Pirates to see the differences and similarities.
    Have fun.
